A place where many cultures and traditions basked in the glory of prosperity, Uttar Pradesh is a place where we find diverse culture. We find Ganges and Yamuna, two rivers which have their mention in Indian mythology. Uttar Pradesh has very old history and its impact can still be seen in the existing culture and civilization.

In the later Vedic Age U.P was known as the Brahma Fishi Deshi means a land of sages and saints. It is very true with the fact we have the mention of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna who took Birth here. One belonged to the Great epic Ramayana and other to Mahabharata. Later in the sixth century B.C came the two powerful religions Buddhism and Jainism, where Buddha gave his first sermon as well as attained Nirvana here.

The founder of Jainism Mahavira died here at Doora. The third century B.C witnessed the arrival of powerful Mauryan Monarchs, with complete U.P their control. With advent of Mughal and Delhi sultanate the growth of U.P in respect to art, architecture, effective administration, music, and culture reached to the highest peak. There was perfect blend of Hindu and Muslim culture in the medieval period.
